Everyone means well as I stand at this parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A part of me is sick of playing this charade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Always it\u2019s the same ribbons, fanfare, a free drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But every year my heart isn\u2019t there, it just sinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still I question your motives is it me you see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or your ideals, maybe political party?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I could scream and yell, rant and rave, simply get Loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sill my voice would never be heard above the crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My \u201ccraziness\u201d is something they would clearly see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another Marine breaking, just PTSD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So while you celebrate me and call me \u201chero\u201d,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throw parties, give food and spend lots of dinero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will go home tonight, lay down to close my eyes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I see their tears on my face; hear their voice In my cries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before you thank me, say what a hero I am,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you talked to me, and would take the time to know<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You would see how deep they are the pain and sorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
